■ Overview

The IKO Parallel Drive Stage PD…S is IKO's unique precision positioning XY stage that achieves a low profile by incorporating a mechanism that converts the linear motion of two parallel-arranged ball screw actuators into XY motion. Unlike conventional XY stages that stack single-axis actuators, there are no moving motors or cables around the stage, making external access to the stage easier and allowing for highly flexible equipment design that does not limit the work area. The linear guide section uses the maintenance-free C-Lubrine Wayway. It is a compact and highly durable stage.

■IKO's Unique Parallel Drive Structure

This is an unprecedented XY stage with motors arranged in parallel. Because the motors are positioned in only one direction, work can be easily performed from any direction except the side where the motors are positioned. Since the motors are fixed in place, they do not move even when the table is operating, eliminating the need to secure space to prevent interference. The unrestricted work area allows for highly flexible equipment design.

■Low Cross-Section and Simple Appearance

By arranging the motors in parallel, an extremely low cross-sectional height has been achieved compared to conventional stages. Wiring and cable carriers required for movable parts in conventional stages are also unnecessary. The appearance is simple, lightweight, and space-saving.
