About This Product

A new concept Triple QMS incorporating the technology and experience cultivated with high-performance GC-QMS and 4-sector MS/MS. In addition to single-mode scan and SIM measurements, it excels in trace detection and quantitative analysis through high-speed, high-sensitivity SRM measurements using proprietary short-collision cell technology.

■Four Technologies for Rapid and Accurate Quantitative Analysis

The short-collision cell, capable of ion accumulation and instantaneous ion discharge, enables quantitative analysis in the mode optimal for the analytical purpose. The industry-leading SRM speed of 1000 transitions/second allows for method construction that improves throughput by reducing measurement time. • Technology 1: Ion Accumulation and Instantaneous Discharge Ions accumulated in the cell are pulsed and instantaneously discharged. This achieves both industry-leading SRM speed and the elimination of interfering ions. • Technology 2: Noise Reduction Signal acquisition is synchronized with the pulse, minimizing noise to the greatest extent possible. A deflector immediately before the detector contributes to noise suppression by neutral molecules. * **New Feature: Variable Emission Period Mode** When measuring high-concentration samples, the linearity of the calibration curve may not be ensured due to saturation of the generated ions. JEOL's new "Variable Emission Period Mode" ensures linearity of the calibration curve over a wide concentration range. * **Technology 3: Fast GC** By using a small-bore, short capillary column and rapidly increasing the GC oven temperature, measurement time can be shortened, improving the number of samples processed per hour. The "Short Collision" technique is particularly effective for measurement methods requiring fast transitions due to the narrower peak width of the chromatogram. FastGC significantly reduced the measurement time for 266 pesticide components; a measurement requiring 40 minutes with a normal column was reduced to 15 minutes with FastGC while maintaining chromatographic separation. * **Technology 4: High-Performance Ion Source EPIS* (Optional)** The newly designed ion source chamber achieves an instrument detection limit (IDL) of < 0.4 fg (OFN 1 fg) in SRM. By using EPIS, a sensitivity improvement of about an order of magnitude compared to a standard ion source can be expected.
