■ "Zeta" - The 6th Generation High-End GC-QMS Finally Arrives

JEOL's new generation gas chromatograph quadrupole mass spectrometer (GC-QMS) system, JMS-Q1600GC UltraQuad™ SQ-Zeta, is the 6th generation high-end GC-QMS, bringing together years of accumulated QMS technology. It is the ultimate high-performance, versatile GC-MS, meeting a wide range of measurement and analysis needs, from quantitative analysis such as environmental, water quality, and pesticide analysis, to qualitative analysis such as material and odor analysis.

■ Features

• Achieves high sensitivity and overwhelming dynamic range. Instrument detection limit: IDL < 5 fg By measuring OFN 20 fg eight times consecutively in SIM mode, the instrument detection limit was calculated from the area value of the obtained extracted ion chromatogram and its reproducibility, achieving 2.6 fg. • Wide Chromatogram Dynamic Range When OFN 0.005 to 1,000 pg was measured using the SIM mode with a standard EI ion source, excellent linearity was obtained, with a coefficient of determination of 0.999 or higher for the calibration curve. The wide dynamic range of more than 5 orders of magnitude is effective not only for quantitative analysis but also for qualitative analysis of mixed samples with varying concentrations.

■ Automatic SIM Condition Creation Function

• Easy and Highly Sensitive Quantitative Analysis with Peak Dependent SIM The previously cumbersome SIM grouping process is no longer necessary. The Peak Dependent SIM automatic SIM condition creation function automatically sets the optimal SIM grouping. Anyone can easily perform measurements with optimized SIM conditions. The number of channels per group in SIM measurement can be set to 100, and the number of groups can be set to 500.

■ Unique Ion Sources to Expand Solutions

High-Performance EI Ion Source: Enhanced Performance Ion Source (EPIS) (Optional), Instrument Detection Limit: IDL<1 fg. EPIS achieves high sensitivity through improvements to the ion source chamber. The instrument detection limit for EPIS is IDL<1 fg (5 fg of OFN injected, 8 measurements). This industry-leading sensitivity offers various benefits, including trace component analysis, simplified concentration procedures, and reduced sample volume (reduced contamination). This optional EI ion source can be used for both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
