About This Product

■ Towards a more accessible tool for everyone

Transmission electron microscopes (TEMs) with an acceleration voltage of 120 kV are widely used in the field of soft materials such as biomaterials and polymers. This time, we have developed the new JEM-120i based on the concepts of "Compact," "Easy To Use," and "Expandable." Not only has the appearance been completely redesigned, but it has also evolved into a device that anyone can easily use, from operation to maintenance.

■Features

・Compact The JEM-120i has been significantly reduced in size, resulting in lower filament replacement and sample holder insertion positions compared to previous models. Furthermore, the development of a cartridge-type filament unit allows anyone to easily and safely replace the filament. In addition, the LED light mounted on the front of the device changes color according to the TEM status, allowing you to understand the operating status of the device even from a distance. ・Easy Operation - Sample Observation in Simple Steps From sample insertion to the end of observation, it can now be completed in four steps. After inserting the sample holder, clicking the start button automatically performs observation preparation operations such as voltage boosting and beam ON. Since wide-area images are captured simultaneously, stage movement is completed simply by clicking on the desired field of view. Furthermore, the standard "Butler mode" assists with data acquisition, making it easy even for beginners to acquire data. Sample holders can now be replaced without turning off the beam at the end of observation. • Easy Operation - Seamless Observation from Low to High Magnification The JEM-120i eliminates the need to switch magnification modes and select apertures thanks to a revised TEM control system and fully automated aperture control. This allows for smoother observation operations than before. • Expandability The JEM-120i supports various retrofits. It meets the need to add functionality after purchase.
