What Is a Protractor?

Uses of Protractors

Principle of Protractors

Therefore, there is a type of inside protractor, which has two arms sticking out from the outside of the protractor in the form of a triangle, and the inside angle can be measured by applying the arms to the inside angle.
Gauge-type protractors are used for welding bevel angles that are too small for normal protractors, and are inserted directly into the beveled product to measure the angle.
There is also a type of angle protractor specialized for welding work and sheet metal processing, which is characterized by a special shape with an interference barrier in the middle, instead of a straight line, to prevent interference with weld overlay and bulging after welding.
Slant rule angle meters, which have a strong magnet on the measuring surface and measure the slope of rebar in the manner of a level, are also a type of protractor, and this is a measuring instrument specialized for construction work.
