Table of Contents
Vacuum switches, also called set points, are a type of electronic or mechanical device used in pneumatic or conveying systems.
Vacuum switches and pressure switches are also available as a set of products.
By sensing changes in vacuum or pressure and opening or closing an electrical circuit when a set point is reached. The switch can change the flow of air from one place under vacuum or pressure to another.
They are reliable, safe, and perform with high accuracy under pressure.
Here are some of the uses of vacuum switches.
Vacuum switches are used as switches in safety circuits, etc., or to protect vacuum equipment, etc., because they can capture changes in vacuum or pressure and control the ON/OFF of electrical circuits.
They can be used mainly for fluids, such as air and gas.
They are used in various applications that require safety interlock functions and pressure control to ensure the safety and reliability of the entire system.
The structure of a vacuum switch consists of an electric, air-driven, or mechanical switch, and a sensor part.
Vacuum switches use a sensor to detect pressure conditions and changes, and issue a predetermined signal when the upper or lower limit of the set operating pressure is reached.
This signal control allows the switch to turn ON/OFF, and by opening and closing the electrical circuit, the workpiece inside can be safely conveyed or maintained.
Since the switch is designed to open and close when pressure reaches a certain point, it has a highly robust specification to withstand repeated operation, and is made of silicon material that is easily compatible with all fluids so that it can be used in a variety of operating environments.
Although some vacuum switches are explosion-proof, as a general rule, they cannot be used for explosive or flammable gases or fumes.
