What Is a Metal Tape?
A metal tape is a strong adhesive tape made of lead, stainless steel, copper foil, aluminum foil, aluminum, magnets, or other metal materials that are conductive or non-conductive. It is often used for plumbing, water line repairs, range hood ducts, etc.
However, the functionality and adhesive strength differ depending on the material, such as aluminum foil with glass fiber laminated to increase strength or heat-resistant aluminum tape with silicone adhesive that can be used up to 300°C. Uses of Metal Tapes

Characteristics of Metal Tapes
The characteristics of each material used for metal tapes are as follows
1. Aluminum Tape
The most in-demand material, it is flexible and has excellent temperature resistance. Various types with enhanced functionality are available, such as strong aluminum-glass cloth tape, heat-resistant aluminum tape with high heat resistance, and conductive aluminum tape with enhanced conductivity.
Aluminum-glass cloth tape is highly heat resistant and does not burn easily, so it can be used where strength and heat resistance are required. Among aluminum tapes, the type with release paper on the reverse side is suitable for cutting and pasting in short pieces, while the type without release paper is suitable for wrapping without cutting.
Aluminum material is shiny by nature, but matte or black tapes are also available and are often used for repairs or to hide scratches.
There are also tapes that can be easily cut by hand, and conductive aluminum tapes with Ni powder applied to the acrylic adhesive to discharge static electricity.
2. Copper Foil Tape
With excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and high resistance to solvents, ultraviolet rays, humidity, and mold, this tape can be used for shielding electromagnetic waves, shielding housings, and fixing electrodes.
3. Stainless Steel Tape
