What Is an EMF Meter?
An EMF meter is a measuring instrument that measures the electromagnetic waves generated by electronic equipment, electric vehicles, etc. and quantifies them in mG (milligauss) or μT (microtesla).
They are used for measuring electromagnetic waves generated by environmental electromagnetic fields.
There are various types of EMF meters, ranging from handy terminal types to stationary types, depending on the required measurement accuracy.

Uses of EMF Meters
EMF meters are mainly used for environmental testing to measure the intensity of electromagnetic waves generated by computer monitors, televisions, video equipment, fluorescent lights, and other electrical appliances, as well as environmental electromagnetic fields around high-voltage power transmission lines and substations.
The EMF meter uses a board mounted with a highly responsive detection circuit to instantly measure the generated magnetic field detected from an externally connected probe and quantify it in mG (milligauss) or μT (microtesla).

Principles of EMF Meters
There are two types of EMF meters: uniaxial and triaxial.
There are several types of EMF meters, and the specifications required for measuring instruments differ depending on whether they are high-frequency or single-frequency.
The principle of measuring magnetic fields is that the analog signal obtained through the coil mounted inside is calculated by a measuring board and converted into a numerical value.
The unit of measurement is mG (milligauss) or μT (microtesla).
The difference between the 1-axis type and the 3-axis type indicates the difference in the number of coils installed, and the difference in voltage is measured at both ends of each coil.
When measuring electromagnetic fields over a large area, multiple detectors of electromagnetic waves, called probes, are installed, and their detected values are then fed into a calculation circuit and converted into numerical values.
