■PEEM- A photoemission electron microscope (PEEM) is an electron microscope that detects photoelectrons emitted from a sample by irradiating the sample with short wavelength light such as ultraviolet light.
・The feature is that the electronic state (work function) of the surface can be obtained all at once in real time.
・Main uses include tracking the growth process of thin films and the dynamic process of catalytic reactions.
・It is expected to be applied to dynamic observation of surface electronic states due to gas adsorption and desorption, spin observation using circularly polarized ultraviolet light, etc.

■Features of PEEMElectrons are excited by irradiating the solid surface with UV light, and the energy of the secondary electrons generated at this time is several eV. Since photoelectrons excited inside a solid cannot escape due to interactions with the surface or surrounding atoms, it is possible to obtain photoelectron images very close to the surface (several nanometers).

■Features of this device (MyPEEM)・This device is a stand-alone product that includes the PEEM main unit, chamber, power supply box, and control software.
・Uses an ultraviolet light source as the excitation light source and irradiates it from outside the vacuum through the viewport, making it easy to replace various light sources.
- Three types of contrast apertures with different hole diameters can be manually selected.
・In addition to standard sample holders, we also manufacture sample holders according to your requests.
