A torque wrench is an instrument used to calibrate and adjust the actual torque number, which is used to tighten bolts.
By using a torque wrench on site, it is possible to check the accuracy and strength of the tools used for tightening and prevent accidents and any problems caused by incorrect values set during work.
It is important to check the specifications of torque wrenches in advance because the size of wrenches that can be measured and the magnitude of torque vary depending on the product.
Torque wrenches are used in two ways: for actual work of tightening bolts and nuts, and for measurement to check how much torque can be tightened by using the attached scale and digital meter.
Especially in the field where accurate tightening torque is required (maintenance of aircraft and industrial machinery), using a torque wrench with a deviation in accuracy due to years of use may cause irreparable accidents and troubles.
Torque wrenches are indispensable to maintain a high level of torque accuracy at all times.
There are two main types of torque wrenches: mechanical and digital.
Digital torque wrenches can calibrate the accuracy of torque wrenches ranging from a few Newton meters to 1000 Newton meters (unit of torque), depending on the model.
Torque wrenches consist mainly of a torque measuring instrument (graduated or digital), a stand on which the torque wrench is placed, and a handle.
When the handle is turned, the torque wrench on the stand is gradually tightened and the torque is read by the measuring instrument.
The torque of the torque wrench can be adjusted and calibrated according to the difference between the pre-set torque of the wrench and the torque displayed by the tester's measuring instrument.
The accuracy of the torque wrench is approximately less than 1%, allowing adjustment with a very high degree of accuracy.
