About This Product

From blood sample and cell culture supernatant, EPCAM can be quantified to high sensitivity (sensitivity; 1 pg/ml) by 2Step elisa method. Human EPCAM (epithelial cell adhesive factor: Epithelialial CELL ADHESION MOLECULE) is a film -pierced sugar protein consisting of 314 amino acids on the cell membrane surface. In many cancer tissues, EPCAM is excessive, especially for colon, rectum, breast, lungs, and prostate cancer. EPCAM not only involves the cell -related adhesion, but also affects other important cell functions related to the progress of tumors, such as cell proliferation and cancer stem cell properties. Exosome is a 30 to 200 nm diameter velus secreted from almost all cells that make up a living body. It has also been reported that most of the type of cancer tissue will release a large number of exosomes that carry molecular information about tumor cells. The information of the exosomes derived from this tumor cell can be an important tool in clinical research. However, in order to analyze exosomes, it was necessary to purify exosomes by ultra -leisure methods, and it was not possible to quickly and simply the exosomes derived from tumor cells. feature ･ EPCAM -positive exosomes contained in blood samples and cell culture supernatant can be directly quantified. ･ No special device is required, and you can measure if you have a normal plate reader. ･ Standard reagents can ensure stability and reproducibility by using EPCAM/CD9 fusion proteins (standard proteins) without using exosomes that lack storage stability. ･ EPCAM/CD9 Fusion of fusion proteins (standard proteins) can be read with standard curves. ･ Capture exosomes with solidified CD9 antibodies and detect with HRP -signed EPCAM antibodies. ･ Supported sample: Serum, plasma, cell culture
