■Advantages
Heat resistance: Very little deterioration at high temperatures, so it can be used in high temperature environments for long periods of time.
Chemical resistance: Resistant to chemicals such as strong acids, strong alkalis, food oils, alcohols, esters, ketones, ethers, chlorine disinfectants, ozone, and ultraviolet light.
Light transmittance: It has very high light transmittance and is transparent in a wide wavelength range from ultraviolet to near infrared, and the visible light transmittance can be over 90%.
Weatherability: Extremely resistant to UV rays and retains its color and clarity over long periods of time. This is suitable for outdoor use or in environments with strong UV rays.
■Precautions when using and processing
Generally, the maximum operating temperature can reach approximately 180℃. For this reason, it is suitable for use under high temperatures, and is resistant to deformation or deterioration due to heating or heat treatment, so it can demonstrate stable performance over a long period of time. Furthermore, it can be used at temperatures above 200°C for short periods of time, and this property is important in some applications. However, if exposed to high temperatures for a long period of time, it will gradually deteriorate, so depending on the conditions of use, it may be necessary to lower the maximum operating temperature. It is a hard material, and when cutting and processing it, it is necessary to select the appropriate tool and appropriate processing conditions.
