Marking tubes are used to identify electrical wires in control panels. They are placed over wires and printed with wire numbers for easy identification.
These tubes prevent wiring errors and improve work efficiency, especially in team settings. They are typically placed on both ends of wires and are also used for protection and insulation.
Most marking tubes are white with black lettering and vary in diameter from 2 mm to 8 mm. They come in plain types for self-labeling, pre-numbered types, and custom types for specific needs. Made primarily of soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC), they offer flame retardance and good weather resistance but have limited heat resistance.
For readability, place the tubes so that numbers can be read from the same direction on both sides. The inner diameter of the tubes should be larger than that of the wires.
