Nichias Corporation, founded in 1896 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, is a manufacturer and seller of building materials, auto parts, advanced, industrial, and energy products. In 1938, it became the first Japanese company to manufacture rock wool products, and in 1952, it began making spiral wound gaskets. It aims for carbon neutrality by 2050 and is engaged in recycling rock wool product scraps from its plants and construction sites. Its manufacturing establishments in Japan and overseas have ISO 14001, and its product portfolio includes sealing materials, fluoro resin products, heat insulators, calcium silicate boards, and rubber composite gaskets.
