What Is a Protective Cap?
A protective cap is a cap that is placed over or inserted into sharp-edged and dangerous wires, round bars, pipes, bolts, nuts, threads, connectors, cables, etc.
A protective cap is used to prevent foreign matter, dust, rust, cut surfaces, and injuries.

Principle of Protective Caps
When selecting protective caps, it is necessary to select a material that is suitable for the application, considering the characteristics required for the location where it will be used, such as durability, heat resistance, chemical resistance, electrical insulation, and oil resistance.
Soft PVC (polyvinyl chloride), also called PVC or vinyl chloride, is a material often used for screw caps, etc. because it is easy to fit and remove and does not tear easily.
It has excellent electrical insulation, oil resistance, chemical resistance, cold resistance, abrasion resistance, aging resistance, and flexibility.
With a heat resistance temperature of 220°C, silicone has excellent heat resistance and almost no change in properties even when exposed to ultraviolet rays and wind and rain outdoors.
A wide variety of caps are made in various colors.
Although its heat resistance is inferior to silicone, the greatest advantage of inexpensive EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber) is its excellent weather resistance. It also has excellent ozone resistance, aging resistance, and solvent resistance. Since its oil resistance is inferior, it is not suitable for environments where oil will stick to it.
Polyethylene, which is attacked by strong acids but is durable against alkalis, can be used intermittently from -60°C to 90°C and is often used for pipe caps and pipe thread caps.
When selecting a size, use a cap 1mm smaller than the diameter of the cap to prevent it from falling out.
