■What is neodymium magnet?

Neodymium magnets are currently known as the permanent magnets with the highest magnetic strength. They are sometimes called "neodymium magnets" or "neodymium magnets," but their official name is "neodymium magnets." ■Features of neodymium magnets

Neodymium magnets are a typical rare earth magnet, and are characterized by their strong attractive force compared to other magnets. It is possible to obtain a satisfactory adsorption force even when downsized, so it can fully meet the demand for downsizing. It has excellent mechanical strength, but is not suitable for high temperatures. Also, since it is prone to rust, it is plated to prevent rust.

■Differences between neodymium magnets and other magnets

Neodymium magnets are known for their strong magnetic force and cost performance. Its performance is outstanding compared to other magnets such as ferrite magnets and alnico magnets. Ferrite magnets have the advantage of being cheap and resistant to heat, but their magnetic force is weaker than neodymium magnets. Alnico magnets also have the ability to maintain magnetic force even in high-temperature environments, but they have weak coercive force and are expensive. In addition, it has excellent mechanical strength and is easy to process, which is a practical advantage. The disadvantages of neodymium magnets are that they are sensitive to high temperatures and easily rust. However, these problems have been overcome through appropriate surface treatments and the development of high coercivity grades. Due to these properties, neodymium magnets are currently used in a wide range of fields as the strongest permanent magnets.
