About This Product
The D8 ADVANCE is based on the D8 diffractometer series platform and is fully designed for all X-ray powder diffraction and scattering applications including:
■Conventional X-ray powder diffraction (XRD)
・Bibody distribution function (PDF) analysis
・Small-angle X-ray scattering ・Wide-angle X-ray diffraction (SAXS, WAXS)
Thanks to its great adaptability, the D8 ADVANCE can measure all types of samples, from liquids to powders, thin films to bulk samples, with one instrument. Whether you're a novice or an expert, changing settings is quick, easy, and reliable. This is made possible by Bruker's unique DAVINCI.DESIGN: automatic recognition and validation of settings in real time, allowing configuration changes without tools or adjustments.
Additionally, only Bruker offers an alignment guarantee based on the NIST standard SRM1976. No other powder diffractometer on the market has greater measurement accuracy than the D8 ADVANCE in terms of peak position, intensity, and resolution.
■TWIN / TWIN optical system
The patented beam path design of the TWIN/TWIN optics greatly simplifies the use of the D8 ADVANCE and makes it compatible with a variety of applications and specimens. For user convenience, the system automatically switches between 2×2 different optical systems.
The software allows switching between Bragg-Brentano focused optics for powder samples and parallel beam optics for irregularly shaped samples, coatings, thin film samples, etc. without manual adjustment by the user. Suitable for measurements of all types of samples: powders, bulks, fibers, sheets, and thin films (amorphous, polycrystalline, epitaxial).
■Dynamic Beam Optimization™ (DBO)
Bruker's unique DBO feature sets an important new standard in X-ray diffraction data quality. Thanks to the motorized diverging slit, motorized anti-scatter screen and automatic synchronization of the detector's variable window, the data quality is unparalleled, especially at low angles. DBO is supported on all products in the LYNXEYE detector series (SSD160-2, LYNXEYE-2, LYNXEYE XE-T).
