Features and functions
■Electrostatic discharge (ESD) countermeasure modelWe are one of the few manufacturers that has worked on the research and development of ESD countermeasure models over many years. At sites manufacturing electronic components, including LCD devices, countermeasures against the destruction and degradation of microcontrollers caused by ESD are essential, and finished-product manufacturers also regard this as an important item in reliability evaluation. Our ESD countermeasure scanners use materials that incorporate new technology to achieve carbon-free construction, low ionic contamination, and low outgassing.

■Ideal for reading direct markingsIdeal for reading 2D symbols direct-marked on printed circuit boards, resin parts, and similar items. By bringing together the cutting-edge expertise that only MTS can offer, we have made it possible to read direct markings that had until now been considered difficult.

■Easy read settings with button operation・The optimal lighting settings that generate the best image for 2D symbol analysis can be configured easily
・A proprietary lighting function allows free lighting settings to match a wide variety of workpieces, including boards, metal, and LCDs. Simple setup with an intelligent auto-adjustment function (*1) and easy setup software. You are freed from the troublesome tuning work peculiar to direct marking.
*1: The MCR-H700 selects the appropriate processing from preset data. It answers the need to start using the scanner immediately with only button operations on the unit.

■The wide-view window means nothing is missedSmall 2D symbols that used to be hard to aim at because they were hidden behind the reader are now easy to target and easy to read thanks to the large reading window.

■Anyone can achieve the optimal settings with the easy read setup toolWhile viewing the captured image in real time, you can select the lighting and image processing to easily find the best settings. A "table mode function" is built in and reading settings for a wide range of materials are preset as standard, so in most cases reading is possible without configuring anything.

■PLC link function equipped (RS-232C model)Once the memory address inside the PLC for writing barcode data has been set in the scanner, the barcode data that is read is automatically written to the specified memory. The only PLC programming required is the memory monitoring logic that developers are already used to writing. Data reading and writing are of course also handshaked using PLC memory.

■Wireless (Bluetooth) models now availableRead results can be sent to the host PC wirelessly (Bluetooth communication), so there are fewer restrictions on the reading work range and workability improves.

In addition, because the reading distance was close to the workpiece, the reading range was limited.

Although the MCR-H710 is a DPM scanner, it covers both "distance reading" and "wide barcodes" with a single unit.
*Depending on the minimum resolution and how hard a code is to read, there are cases that only the MCR-H700 can handle.

Ideal for reading 2D symbols direct-marked on printed circuit boards, glass surfaces, and similar materials. It handles even smaller markings than conventional models.
