About This Product
Automatically performs surface flaw detection on magnetic and non-magnetic bars, pipes, wires, etc. Compatible with online. It counts the number of defects and supports RS232C output or digital conversion as well as printer output.
The output signal can be used to control the production line. The definitive edition that focuses on detection ability. Custom-made products are available for various uses.
■Measurement principle
What is the electromagnetic induction method? An induced electromotive force is generated in the metal in the alternating current magnetic flux produced by the coil, so a concentric alternating current induced current flows. This is called eddy current. These eddy currents vary depending on the electrical conductivity of the metal, its shape, its position relative to the coil, and the magnitude of the alternating current. Conversely, by using this, it is possible to learn about changes in the metal's shape (such as defects) and changes in its properties (such as the presence or absence of quenching).
This device utilizes this principle.
