About This Product

A power-saving solenoid latch that doesn't use electricity whether left open or closed.

■FeaturesThis latch unit incorporates a self-holding solenoid (keep solenoid). Since it doesn't require power to maintain the locked or unlocked position, it's power-efficient. Locking and unlocking are possible by switching the applied polarity and applying power for a short time (0.1 seconds). A mechanical lock is also built in for emergency unlocking. We offer models for various voltages. Keyless models and models with specified connectors are available as custom orders.

■ApplicationsDistribution boards, switchboards, control panels, lockers, etc.

■Precautions・Emergency unlocking is possible using a key. However, locking is not possible using a key.
・The key can only be inserted and removed at the position shown in the diagram. (Single-point removal)
・The latch position upon delivery may be either unlocked or locked.
・Remove any load on the latch before powering it on.

* When securing this product with M3 screws, be careful to ensure that the screw tips do not come into contact with part number 6: solenoid.

* In usage scenarios where strong impacts or vibrations are expected to be applied to the product, perform evaluation under actual usage conditions and confirm that the latch does not move from the locked position to the unlocked position due to impacts or vibrations. (Confirm unintended operation due to the self-holding characteristic.)

* Do not energize this product continuously for more than 1 minute.

* There is a risk of damage due to overheating. If you energize the product for a period longer than the recommended energizing time, allow the solenoid coil to cool down sufficiently before use.

* In usage scenarios with a high number of energization/de-energy cycles, perform evaluation under actual usage conditions and confirm that there are no abnormalities. (Confirm the effect of temperature rise.)
