About This Product

■Summary

The MP5098 is a 12V/5V, low quiescent current (low quiescent current), low on-resistance (RDS (ON)), dual channel electronic fuse with current monitor. It protects the output circuits from input transients and protects the input circuits from output shorts and transients. During start-up, inrush current is limited by limiting the output slew rate. Slew rate is controlled via the SS pin capacitor (CSS). The output maximum load current (ILOAD_MAX) is current limited. The current limit magnitude (ILIMIIT) is fixed internally. Extensive protection features include output overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), short circuit protection (SCP) and thermal shutdown. The output voltage (VOUT) is limited by the output OVP. The output current (IOUT) for each rail can be monitored through a resistor connected between the IMON1 and IMON2 pins. The MP5098 is offered in a space-saving TQFN-10 (2mm x 3mm) package.

■Fixed trip/hold current limit (ILIMIT)

・4A trip ILIMIT for 12V bus ・2.5A trip ILIMIT for 12V bus ・3A trip ILIMIT for 5V bus ・1.3A hold ILIMIT for 5V bus
