About This Product

■ 4206 Type permeability loss and acoustic tube kit

These kits are composed of precise acoustic test tubes with microfones and sound sources. Put the material sample in the tube. The speaker in the jurisdiction emits a quantitated sound accurately, and the microphone measures the sound pressure level at a specific position along the direction of the tube. Pulse software calculates the vertical input sound characteristics of the material based on the frequency response function measured between various measurement positions. This kit performs measurements and calculations that meet the standards of ISO 10534-2, ASTM E1050-10, and ASTM E2611-09 to help determine the sound absorption and surface impedance.

■ Material characteristics

Even if the purpose is to absorb the air propagation sound and reduce the transparency of the air propagation sound, the sound designer and acoustic expert need to grasp the effects of acoustic materials. Material samples and coupon tests are quick and convenient ways. The acoustic tube (constant wave pipe) guarantees highly reproducible test conditions. To guarantee high -precision results, you can measure the signal vs. ratio (SNR) at the position of each microphone before the test. The sound characteristics of the material are determined by sound absorption, reflectivity, impedance, and transparency loss.
