About This Product

■What device?The MSM400 is a microscopy platform equipped with a computer-controlled motorized stage for the analysis and documentation of yeast, mold, and spores. Its space-saving size allows it to be installed in any laboratory, and it can be used by a wide variety of users.It can be used to quickly perform analyzes such as tetrad analysis, lifespan research, and screening, and store them.

■What does the device do?The MSM400 is a device that allows for quick and easy tetrad and cell analysis along user-defined grids. The microscope automatically remembers the cell's location and allows you to return to the cell's location with the touch of a button. The cells are photographed with a digital camera, and the process can be easily programmed to automate.

 ■img n006 What kind of movements does it make?A specially developed motor-drive stage and a purpose-designed integrated micromanipulator are each operated with the hand in a comfortable position. Operate the stage joystick with one hand and the micromanipulator with the other hand. Users can perform analysis while viewing through the eyepiece or by viewing the video image on the screen.

 Both images can be viewed simultaneously (without switching), and the MSM400's imaging and photography capabilities serve to enhance aging and screening protocols. A large, easy-to-read screen display is standard equipment.

・Rapid movement and recording of cells to orthogonal grid points

・Aging protocols, research and documentation of mother/daughter cell division
・Screening protocols, revisiting and recording colonies and cells of interest
・Transplantation of cells from agar dish to glass slide
 
■img n006 What kind of plate can I use?Standard 90 mm Petri dishes (most used for tetrad analysis), plates with rectangular SBS dimensions, and glass slides (with slide holders) can be used.
