The RF coil uses long-life LumiCoil, which does not require water or gas cooling. The triple cone interface uses a unique third cone (hyper-skimmer) with OmniRing technology to produce a highly focused ion beam and keep the quadrupole ion deflector clean. The cone is located on the outside of the gate valve for quick and easy access while maintaining vacuum. The wide diameter cone minimizes cone clogging due to long, high TDS sample measurements and contributes to signal stability. Additionally, the patented triple cone interface and quadrupole ion deflector combination prevents downstream ion optics from fouling, eliminating the need for cell cleaning or replacement.
