■Features
・There are capacitor run type single-phase motors and three-phase induction motors. Although the starting torque of a capacitor run type single-phase motor is not very large, it has a simple structure, is reliable, has high efficiency, and has low noise. Three-phase motors have high starting torque, high reliability, and high efficiency.
- There are two voltage specifications for single-phase motors: C (100V, 50/60Hz) and D (200V, 50/60Hz), and one type for three-phase motors, U (200V, 50/60Hz).
・Continuous rated operation is possible.
・The rated rotation speed varies depending on the size of the load.
・When changing the rotation direction of a single-phase motor, please stop the motor completely.
■Rotation speed and torque
When there is no load, the motor rotates at a speed close to the synchronous rotation speed, but as the load increases, the rotation speed decreases, and the motor rotates at a point P where the load and motor torque Tp are balanced. If the load increases further and reaches point M, the motor cannot generate any more torque, so it reaches point R and stops. In other words, the area between R and M is an unstable area, and the area where the motor can operate stably is between M and O.
■Voltage and capacitor
・The torque of an induction motor is proportional to the square of the voltage, and also changes depending on the capacitor capacity.
- Starting and stopping torque increases by increasing the capacitor capacity, but the limit for increasing the capacitor capacity is 2.5 to 3.0 times.
- When torque is insufficient, it is possible to continue operation by increasing the voltage or capacitor capacity, but efficiency will decrease and temperature will rise rapidly.
- If you wish to continue operation with insufficient torque, please dissipate heat as much as possible to keep the motor housing temperature below 90℃.
■General specifications of induction motors
- Insulation resistance: The value measured between the motor coil and case with a 500V DC megger after the motor's rated operation at room temperature and humidity is 100MΩ or more.
・Dielectric strength voltage: No abnormality will be observed even if 50/60Hz, 1.5KV is applied between the motor coil and case for 1 minute after the motor is operated at its rated value at room temperature and humidity.
・Temperature rise: The jacket temperature rise measured with a thermometer after running the motor at its rated value is 60°C or less. (Motor with fan is below 45℃)
