■About stereolithography equipment

The history of 3D printers began with stereolithography machines (stereolithography equipment, stereolithography systems), which perform additive manufacturing by scanning UV (ultraviolet) lasers and curing photocurable resin. In recent years, various 3D printers have been sold, but among them, stereolithography machines equipped with UV lasers are extremely expensive, ranging from 20 million yen to 50 million yen. However, the quality of the models produced can be said to be the highest of 3D printers. Now, our company's Unirapit IV is a fine stereolithography machine exclusively for small items. It is equipped with a UV laser, similar to stereolithography equipment that costs tens of millions of yen, but uses a ball screw type XY plotter for scanning. Although this method has high accuracy and excellent stability, the scanning speed is slow, so it is not recommended for creating large models. However, it is ideal for research and development purposes, such as creating minute models that can fit on your fingertips, or creating high-definition models. If most of the models you create are small enough to fit on your fingertips, please consider Unirapit IV. (The printing table is 50mm square, so it is possible to print models up to 50mm square. It is also possible to line up multiple small models on the table and print them at the same time.)
