Headless cylindrical parallel pins are used for fixing and positioning by making reamed holes and driving them into various connecting parts such as machines and jigs. By incorporating parallel pins, assembly can be performed with high precision, and high reproducibility can be achieved during disassembly and reassembly during maintenance. Type A has a flat end on one end and a round end on the other, and the shaft has a positive tolerance (fitting tolerance m6). Type B has flat points on both ends and has a negative tolerance (h7), resulting in slightly lower accuracy. Some have internal threads to make it easier to pull out the pin. The materials used are S45C (carbon steel for mechanical structures) and stainless steel. Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for seawater pumps, piping parts, valves, and food machinery.
