A constant flow valve is a valve that maintains a set flow rate when there are pressure fluctuations on the inlet or outlet side.
It eliminates the need for control equipment that reacts to pressure fluctuations, thus saving cost and space.
Since no power source is required, fluids that are highly flammable or otherwise potentially hazardous can be handled safely. The set flow rate is predetermined by the valve, so there is no need for on-site adjustments.
Constant flow valves are used in equipment that requires flow distribution for each device or system, equipment that has an upper flow limit, etc.
Applications include controlling water supply up to a low tank, limiting the acceptance of large amounts of water, preventing damage to faucet fixtures and other equipment, saving water, and limiting the flow rate of hot water piping and air conditioning.
