What Is a Volumetric Flask?
A volumetric flask is a type of glassware for experiments. Like a measuring cylinder, it is used to measure and constant the volume of a liquid, and is characterized by its greater accuracy of measurement compared to a measuring cylinder.
A volumetric flask is generally made of glass, although some are made of plastic or resin. Its shape is that of a flat, spherical bottom with the body extending in an elongated cylinder. Principle of Volumetric Flasks
Generally, volumetric flasks are used to keep the volume of a liquid constant, such as when one wants to keep the concentration of a solution constant, and one of its characteristics is that it is more accurate in measurement than a female cylinder, which is used for the same purpose.
One of the characteristics of these cylinders is that they have a higher measurement accuracy than female cylinders, which are used for the same purpose.
