Piezoelectric transmitters use piezoelectric elements to generate ultrasonic waves, offering high output and directionality but potentially limited frequency characteristics. Magnetostrictive transmitters, however, utilize magnetostrictive materials to generate waves. While their output may be lower than that of piezoelectric types, they provide better frequency characteristics.
