What Is a Plano-convex Lens?
A plano-convex lens features one flat and one convex surface.
This lens design, with a greater curvature radius on the convex side compared to the flat side, focuses light rays. Optically, its focal length is equivalent to twice the radius of curvature of the convex surface. The images it forms appear behind the focal point, with their size dependent on the focal length and the distance from the incident light source.
