About This Product

■Summary

Hallite's VSF is a spring-load type single-pressure shaft seal for rotating equipment. It has a U-shaped seal jacket with a built-in V-shaped metal spring. Proprietary carbon fiber filled PTFE jacket material H82 and tandem lip design eliminate stick-slip phenomenon with low friction, providing high scratch resistance design and long life. The flange on the outer periphery of the seal jacket prevents rotation with the shaft. At no load or under low pressure, the V-spring provides the necessary load on the sealing lip to create the appropriate contact pressure. When the operating pressure increases, the U-shaped area receives the system pressure and affects the sealing performance at high pressure. Additionally, metal springs have excellent chemical resistance and can withstand a wide temperature range, maintaining spring load for a long period of time.
