About This Product

■Samakoba

A sintered product composed of samarium (Sm) and cobalt (Co), available in two materials: 1-5 series and 2-17 series. Since the material is rust resistant, it can be used without surface treatment.

■Information about Samakoba magnets

Although Samakoba magnetic force is strong, it is also resistant to rust and high temperatures. Samacoba magnets are rare earth magnets that have a magnetic energy product second only to neodymium magnets, have high corrosion resistance even without anti-rust treatment, and have excellent temperature characteristics and are resistant to high temperatures. It is a sintered product mainly composed of samarium (Sm) and cobalt (Co), and there are two types of materials: 1-5 series and 2-17 series. The 1-5 series is a magnet that has a high coercive force Hcj but is easy to magnetize and adjust the magnetic force. It also exhibits relatively stable performance against temperature changes. The 2-17 series has high magnetic force and excellent temperature stability of magnetic properties. Samakoba magnets have relatively low mechanical strength, so care must be taken when handling them to prevent them from chipping and cracking.

■Samakoba magnet manufacturing process

・Blend each raw material. ・Create an alloy by melting the blended raw materials at high temperatures. - Pulverize the alloy into fine powder. - When pressing fine powder, a magnetic field is applied to create compacted powder products with the magnetization direction aligned. ・After sintering at approximately 1,200℃, heat treatment is performed at approximately 1,000℃ to improve magnetic properties. ・Process the manufactured magnet base material and finish it into the product shape. - Gives a magnetic field and becomes a magnet with magnetic force. - Perform the above steps to complete the Samakoba magnet.
