About This Product

■Reflective absolute linear optical encoder IC. Outputs 1 period of analog incremental signal for 1 bit width of absolute output, and can achieve high resolution by combining

SM3414B is a reflective absolute linear optical encoder IC that combines light emission, light reception, and signal processing in one package. It optically reads the absolute code patterned on the scale and outputs it via the serial IF. It is also possible to output analog incremental signals. Various adjustment circuits using serial IF are built-in, and it is possible to adjust the binarization threshold voltage of absolute codes and the I/V conversion gain of incremental signals.

・Package: HCOB16, 7.7×6.4×1.0mm ・Power supply voltage: 2.7~3.3V ・Power consumption: 8mA (Typ) @VDD=3.0V, including LED current ・Operating temperature range: -30 to +70℃ ・Absolute output: total length 51.2mm, resolution 100μm (9bit serial output), built-in decoder ・High resolution can be achieved by combining absolute output and analog incremental output. ・Incremental output: Analog A phase, B phase ・Built-in various adjustment circuits: absolute binary threshold voltage adjustment, incremental signal gain adjustment ・Built-in LED light source: Terminal function that allows adjustment of light source brightness and independent LED power terminal ・LED wavelength: 850nm (typ.) ・Logic input terminal 3.6V, input tolerant function ・Low crosstalk dedicated process ・Photodiode with built-in anti-reflection film ・Reflow mounting possible
