About This Product

■Reflective optical incremental encoder IC with analog output/digital output version with built-in multiplication function available depending on application/resolution

SME-08BDx is a 3-channel analog/digital output reflective optical incremental encoder IC. A/B phase can be selected from analog output and digital output depending on the version. The digital output version also has a built-in multiplier circuit (4x, 8x, 16x), allowing you to set the resolution. SME-08BDx has an LED and an OEIC (Opto-Electric Integrated Circuit) mounted in one package. The relative movement between the SME-08Bxx and the codewheel is detected by projecting the light emitted from the LED onto the codewheel and receiving the reflected light with a photodiode. Furthermore, by providing a pattern for origin detection on the code wheel, the Z phase, which is the origin signal, is output.
