About This Product

■Reflective optical incremental encoder IC with 3ch digital output, built-in multiplier circuit, suitable for high-precision motor applications, etc.

SME-08ASx is a reflective optical incremental encoder IC with 3-channel digital output. It has a built-in multiplier circuit (1x, 2x, 4x), and the resolution can be set. SME-08A1x has an LED and an OEIC (Opto-Electric Integrated Circuit) mounted in one package. The relative movement between the SME-08A1x and the codewheel is detected by projecting the light emitted from the LED onto the codewheel and receiving the reflected light with a photodiode. Furthermore, by providing a pattern for origin detection on the code wheel, the Z phase, which is the origin signal, is output.

・Package: HCOB8, 3.95×3.4×1.0mm ・Power supply voltage: 4.5~5.5V ・Current consumption: 27mA (typ) ・Operating temperature range: -20 to +85℃ ・3-channel digital output: Outputs 2-phase incremental signals A/B and index signal Z ・Built-in multiplier circuit (1x, 2x, 4x): Output frequency (response frequency) can be selected from 60KHz/120KHz/240KHz (corresponds to multiplier) ・Resolution: 80μm (Output cycle: 1x) ・Built-in LED dimming function using APC circuit ・LED wavelength: 850nm ・Select the origin signal type in the product version, origin signal (Z phase) output width: 90°e/180°e/360°e ・1-track origin detection function: By providing an index pattern within the incremental pattern, the origin signal can be output without a dedicated track. ・Reflow mounting possible
