About This Product
■Easy to measure peroxide value
The HI 83730 is a peroxide value measuring device for edible oils, and is an absorption photometer that can be easily measured using a special reagent.
Peroxide value (POV, PV) is an indicator of the deterioration of fats and oils in food, and is important in food quality control such as expiration dates. There are almost no peroxides in fresh, refined fats and oils, but over time oils oxidize and become harmful to food.
This will lead to deterioration. Because it can affect human health, specifications/standards and guidelines for manufacturing and handling have been established for foods processed with fats and oils/foods containing large amounts of fats and oils.
■Main features
・Measure the peroxide value of edible oil from 0.0 to 25.0 meq O₂/kg.
- Adopts an advanced optical system to achieve high stability.
・Uses special reagents. There is no preparation required for the measurement sample.
■Set contents
Reagent set for 10 times, 1mL syringe, scissors, cell surface cleaning cloth, 4 AA alkaline batteries, AC adapter, carrying case, Japanese instruction manual, etc.
