■Features

・Compact & resolution <30nm ・Excellent long-term stability: Reliably holds the set position ・1 billion steps lifetime Picomotor actuators are ideal for integration into stages and mounts for precision positioning in optical or mechanical systems. It can be attached not only to the NewFocus moving stage but also to various devices you have. The resolution is less than 30nm, there is almost no backlash, and the operating force is 5 lbs (22N, 2.3kg). Furthermore, it has extremely high stability over long periods of time, and can reliably hold the set position even when the power is turned off. This is a unique property for a motion control device, making it ideal for general positioning and holding applications. Typical applications include precision control of sample holders in cryogenic or vacuum chambers, automatic adjustment of hard-to-reach mirror mounts (such as those in the center of large setups), and optics that are sensitive to the force of rotating knobs. These include mount adjustments (laser cavity optimization and long-range beam pointing adjustments). To mount these in the mounting holes for standard micrometer mounts, use the standard size shank of Model 830X and the 12X0.5-mm thread of Model 832X. Tiny model 8353 provides a solution that can be applied to even the smallest applications. For rotation without translation, use the Model 8341NF rotating shaft. Use our model 8742 open-loop Picomotor controller/driver or our model 8743-CL closed-loop Picomotor controller/driver for these Picomotor actuators.
