Characteristics of straight-grain sawn wood
■Advantages
The plate material is less likely to deform, and is less likely to warp in either the width or length direction. Best used as a deck space outdoors where the environment changes significantly.
■Disadvantages
Compared to sawn wood, there is lumber loss and costs are higher.
