About This Product

The UltraBAM is a Brewster angle microscope designed for gas-liquid interface measurements. It can also be used on solid substrates such as glass and quartz. It combines high-resolution real-time imaging that focuses on the entire field of view. Advanced imaging optics provide fully focused images at 20-35 frames per second. A high-performance camera and calibration algorithm enable quantitative measurement of reflectance. Therefore, it is possible to observe changes in adsorption speed and thickness. The instrument is equipped with a motorized analyzer to visualize optical anisotropy due to long-chain molecular orientation in monolayers. The included software makes operation easy. You can capture images of the water surface with one click, and you can also automate image capture. Users can take measurements simply by maintaining focus in live view. It is also possible to record videos for later analysis. Additionally, the software provides image analysis tools such as pixel counting and Region of Interest ROI selection. UltraBAM and its software can be integrated with almost any trough, including existing troughs and our own proprietary troughs. (Trough is sold separately and is not included as standard.) Integration with Trough software allows information to be retrieved from Trough and added as metadata to photos taken with UltraBAM.

■Features

・Spectral imaging ellipsometry from 190/250/360 nm to 1,000/1,700 nm ・The ellipsometry resolution is 1 µm, and it is possible to measure the thickness (0.1 nm to 10 µm) and refractive index of microstructures smaller than 1 µm. ・Visualize samples with Ellipsometric enhanced contrast images ・Draw the measurement area in live view and select the measurement area intuitively ・Multiple areas within the selected field of view can be measured in parallel - Knife edge lighting (patented) that non-destructively suppresses back reflections. - Expand your measurement possibilities by adding accessories such as cells, temperature control, and liquid handling.
