About This Product

The "SFM5500" mass flow meter series is the culmination of Sensirion's 20 years of excellent experience in gas flow measurement. Based on the microcalorimetry principle, it utilizes Sensirion's proven CMOSens® MEMS technology. This has allowed us to create advanced mass flow meters with best-in-class performance and superior reliability. Unlike other instruments on the market, this product does not drift and does not require recalibration during operation. The extremely wide measurement range provided by CMOSens® MEMS flow sensors allows the SFM5500 series to cover multiple flow ranges of traditional mass flow meters with a single device. The metal body makes it even more resistant to high pressure. Compared to competitive products, the SFM5500 is suitable for small flow rates (up to 50 sccm full-scale flow) and large gas flows. Combining multi-gas calibration with replaceable fittings, the SFM5500 series is the first mass flow meter on the market to be available as a standard off-the-shelf product suitable for applications in the medical, analytical and industrial industries. Due to this versatility, the "SFM5500" series can be purchased through catalog sales. The SFM5500 series complements Sensirion's SFM5xxx family of best-in-class mass flow meters, offering top performance equivalent to the SFM5400, so when the highest accuracy, highest speed and widest dynamic range are required. Suitable for a wide range of applications. However, unlike the "SFM5400" series, which allows you to choose from a variety of functional configurations, the "SFM5500" series mass flow meters allow you to choose from multiple predetermined combinations. If you require other gases, flow ranges, compatibility, or interfaces, please check out the SFM5400 or the SFM5300, Sensirion's most cost-effective solution for high-volume OEM projects. For those looking for a mass flow controller, we have the "SFC5500", a sister product of the "SFM5500" with a valve. "SFC5500" also demonstrates the same excellent performance.
