Since we started selling the dry clutch/brake unit series 400 in 1962, this product has made Ortlinghaus a global brand, and has now evolved into the 420 and 406. Developed to meet the performance and safety requirements of press machines, the Series 406 is a small diameter clutch/brake that can handle high torque, and has a high performance and compact design.
Plate mounting options include 12-point mounting and 2-point mounting with straps, providing flexibility to suit a variety of applications. When selecting plates, we choose the shape and material that are most suitable for each application to obtain the most efficient service life. The friction block plate version is recommended for machines that experience high dynamic and reversing loads during continuous operation.
Clamping devices can be installed on the clutch side for series 420 and on the brake side for series 406.
