About This Product

■Ortring House

A specialized manufacturer of clutches and brakes founded in 1898. We manufacture a full line of electromagnetic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical types, and specialize in large torque units and applications that handle high heat generation, and are compatible with a wide torque range. It is an industry benchmark used in various industries such as industrial machinery such as presses, ships, and construction machinery. On this page, we will highlight and inform you about our main products.

■Dry pneumatically actuated single plate clutch/brake unit series 406, 420

Since we started selling the dry clutch/brake unit series 400 in 1962, this product has made Ortlinghaus a global brand, and has now evolved into the 420 and 406. Developed to meet the performance and safety requirements of press machines, the Series 406 is a small diameter clutch/brake that can handle high torque, and has a high performance and compact design. Plate mounting options include 12-point mounting and 2-point mounting with straps, providing flexibility to suit a variety of applications. When selecting plates, we choose the shape and material that are most suitable for each application to obtain the most efficient service life. The friction block plate version is recommended for machines that experience high dynamic and reversing loads during continuous operation. Clamping devices can be installed on the clutch side for series 420 and on the brake side for series 406.
