About This Product

■Total luminous flux measurement using an integrating sphere Evaluating the luminous flux and total radiation power of a light source using an integrating sphere is one of the most important tests in optical measurement. The inner surface of the integrating sphere is coated with a diffusely reflective material, ensuring complete integration and homogenization of the emitted radiation. The integrated light is then measured at the detector port. The deciding factor when selecting an integrating sphere is the maximum dimension of the light source being measured. Large light sources should use large integrating spheres to minimize measurement errors. The integrating sphere also has a side entrance port for measuring the luminous flux (radiation into the front hemisphere only) in the 2π configuration. Using a large integrating sphere, it is also possible to centrally mount the test object and measure it in a 4π configuration (radiation in all directions).
