■Active strain sensor SLB700A/06VA: A cost-effective sensor with built-in electronic circuitry for measuring particularly large forces.

SLB700A/06VA is a strain sensor with a built-in electronic circuit that can be easily attached to structures with screws. Reliably measures strain caused by forces applied to structures. Normally, the amount of strain is proportional to force, so if properly calibrated, strain sensors can be used to measure loads. This principle is also known as force measurement with force shunts. The SLB700A/06VA is just as robust as the passive SLB700A, but with a built-in instrumentation amplifier it offers higher cost performance. The advantage of this attractively priced sensor is that even very high forces can be measured reliably. It does not affect the dynamic characteristics of mechanical equipment. The built-in amplifier in the SLB700A/06VA is very easy to set up and can be started by simply measuring force at maximum force and zero point. The output signal is scaled between these two points. Regardless of the amount of strain, the maximum output signal can be sent to the next module in the measurement chain. The material that makes up the sensor is resistant to most of the oils used in the pressing process and is also rust resistant.
