Laser distance sensor application
■Crane positioning
When transporting heavy objects, there are cases where accurate positioning cannot be achieved with encoder control alone. In such environments, position control is performed using precise coordinates using laser distance sensors.
■Monitoring
We use laser distance sensors to measure and manage the position of large products and components during the manufacturing process.
■Diameter management
By automatically measuring the diameters of iron coils, large rolls of paper, and cloth using laser distance sensors, efficient manufacturing processes and storage management become possible.
■Length measurement of wood
When cutting wood, we use a laser distance sensor to measure the length and cut to exact dimensions.
■Depth/height measurement
Measures the depth/height of large cranes, pile drivers, etc. using a laser distance sensor. Normally, encoders are used, but routing the cables can be troublesome.
■Steel dimension measurement
Using a laser distance sensor, it is possible to measure the dimensions of large materials such as steel, even under harsh environments such as high temperatures.
■Railway measurement
We perform construction limit measurements, tunnel interior displacement measurements, and bridge sleeper measurements.
■Level measurement
In tall storage equipment such as silos, the volume of the contents can be measured by measuring the height of the contents from above using a laser distance sensor.
■Stacker crane position measurement
