About This Product

A hybrid sound absorbing material made from phenolic resin foam with unprecedented properties. It is a new sound-absorbing material that is lightweight, can completely absorb a wide range of sound including mid-bass, and also has sound insulation properties.

■Combination of mute board and Calmo foam (sound absorption/insulation panel)

This product is made by laminating the thin hard sound absorbing material mute board and Calmofoam to improve the surface strength and sound absorbing properties. This is a high-performance sound absorbing and sound insulating panel that combines sound absorption from low to high frequencies with high sound insulation properties.

■Features of CALMOFOAM

・High flame retardancy: Passed V-0 and HF-1 tests under the polymer flame retardant flame test UL94. - Resistant to deterioration: Phenolic resin is a thermosetting resin that is extremely resistant to deterioration. - Heat resistant: This product is resistant to expansion, contraction, and damage even under extreme temperature changes. ・Excellent chemical resistance: It is not easily affected by chemicals, so it will not dissolve with adhesives or paints. ・Safe and secure: Even if it gets into the body, it is not harmful. It also does not emit toxic gases when burned. *If you feel unwell, please consult a doctor. ・Easy processing: Easy to cut with a cutter knife.

■Sound absorption

- Demonstrates sound absorbing power even from a thickness of 10 mm. ・It absorbs sound in a well-balanced manner from mid-bass to high frequencies, so it has excellent articulation. - You can feel the diffusion effect while absorbing sound, so there is no need to adjust the sound field even in music scenes. ・Since it does not rely on air propagation, it absorbs sound even if a cover is placed on the surface.

■Sound insulation

- Low air permeability reduces the absorption of dust and moisture and maintains stable performance over a long period of time. ・Since it has sound insulation properties, it helps reduce the weight of soundproof panels. ・CALMOFOAM 50mm thick has an average sound insulation of about 18dB. ・It has better sound insulation performance than styrene foam used for lightweight sound insulation.
