Drag Finish (dry barrel polishing machine) polishes the surface of a workpiece by inserting it into a barrel tank containing dry polishing media and rotating it at high speed in a planetary rotation system. Because the workpiece rubs against the media while rotating, even complex and intricate shapes (such as drills) can be polished uniformly.
The turret and spindle head are driven by separate motors, and by independently controlling the turret (orbital) rotation speed and the spindle head (rotational) rotation speed, polishing conditions suitable for a wide variety of workpieces can be obtained.
