■ Overview
It is a MEX type 3D printer filament that allows heated after modeling to enable the customization of the shape. Shape memory polymer (Shape Memory Polymer = SMP) filament.
When heated after modeling, it becomes softer and can customize the shape. For example, if you use it as a medical device that touches your skin, you can customize the shape and adjust it to a shape that suits each individual, which can save time and save materials. The use of uses is endless depending on the idea.
The SMP filament has a glass transfer point (TG) to 55 ° C, and the elasticity rate changes greatly around the glass transition point. Cooling below the glass transfer point while holding a shape deformed at a temperature above the glass transfer point will solidify with its shape. When heated to a temperature above the glass transfer point again, it returns to the memorable shape. There are a wide variety of usage.
■ Temperature dependence
The elasticity rate (softness) changes greatly before and after the glass transfer point. This product will be TG = 55 ℃.
■ Shape recovery and shape fixed
Cooling with a temperature transformed at a temperature above the glass transfer point and cooling it below the glass transfer point will solidify with its shape. When heated to a temperature above the glass transfer point again, it returns to the memorable shape.
