About This Product

■Product Overview

Faircol A is a dedicated oil for general-purpose reciprocating compressors, developed by blending carefully selected special additives into a highly refined paraffinic base oil, and is applicable to the compression of air, hydrocarbon gases, carbon dioxide, and other gases. In air compression in particular, the interaction of the special additives is designed to suppress, as far as possible, the carbon deposits that form as the discharge system reaches high temperatures and pressures. Features

■Good Thermal Stability and Resistance to Carbonization

Carefully selected special additives are blended into a base oil highly refined for excellent thermal stability, and their interaction makes the oil highly resistant to carbonization even when exposed to high discharge temperatures. As a result, carbon deposits on discharge valves, discharge piping, and other parts exposed to high temperatures and pressures are extremely low, making compressor maintenance easy.

■Good Oxidation Stability

Even after long-term use as compressor external oil, a special antioxidant prevents oxidative degradation and sludge formation, keeping the crankcase clean at all times.

■Excellent Rust Prevention

An excellent rust inhibitor is added, protecting the inside of the crankcase from rust.

■Little Foaming

The oil resists foaming even when agitated inside the crankcase, so it can be used with confidence.

■Good Water Separability

Water separability is good, so even if water should enter the crankcase, it can easily be separated by settling or similar means.

■Types

Faircol A is available in four grades: 46, 68, 100, and 150. The numbers indicate the approximate kinematic viscosity in mm2/s at 40°C.

■Applications

For internal and external lubrication of various gas compressors and general-purpose air compressors. It delivers excellent performance particularly in air compressors operating under high-temperature conditions with a marked tendency toward carbonization.

■Packaging

200 L drum, 20 L pail, 4 L can (VG46, 68)
