About This Product

■Product OverviewSuper Mulpus EX is a bearing coolant oil for machine tools classified as a Class 4 Petroleum hazardous material. Fire Service Act regulations have tightened in recent years, and demand for high-flash-point products has grown as a way to ease designated quantity limits. Although coolant oil is used in large tank volumes on machine tools, conventional products were low in viscosity and therefore classified as Class 3 Petroleum, which made designated quantity management cumbersome. Super Mulpus EX achieves a high flash point through the adoption of a synthetic base oil, while also offering good lubricity and cooling performance. As a high-flash-point, low-viscosity bearing coolant oil, Super Mulpus EX simplifies designated quantity management under the Fire Service Act in the plant.

Features
■Flash Point of 200°C or HigherDespite its low viscosity, Super Mulpus EX has a flash point of 200°C or higher and is classified as a Class 4 Petroleum hazardous material.

■Excellent LubricityHigh wear resistance is required to circulate the cooling medium efficiently and to prevent abnormal wear of the circulation pump. Super Mulpus EX has better wear resistance than mineral-oil-based bearing coolant oils, preventing wear of the circulation pump. It is also suitable for combined lubrication with gears.

■Good Cooling PerformanceThe cooling performance of Super Mulpus EX is equivalent to that of mineral-oil-based bearing coolant oils. When switching from a VG2 mineral-oil-based bearing coolant oil, please use Super Mulpus EX 5.

■TypesSuper Mulpus EX is available in two grades, 5 and 10, allowing selection of the viscosity best suited to operating conditions.
